Overview: We seek a highly creative and motivated Freight Sales Executive committed to finding successful freight transportation solutions that meet our clients’ needs and maintain the company’s relationships with large, multi-location customers.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of successful sales experience (where you consistently met quotas) in the freight brokerage, third-party logistics and/or trucking industries.
Compensation: 25% gross margin commission for on-target income of $125K+
Position Summary: As a Freight Sales Executive, you will be primarily responsible for generating new business with freight shippers for DFN Freight Exchange Inc. This role will work with the leadership and management teams to help build relationships with prospects and clients. The individual will also be responsible for leading and participating in strategic account discussions as well as contract and pricing strategy. This position reports directly to the CEO.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for generating new business to contribute to the ongoing growth of DFN Freight Inc.
- Works with Operations to acquire new business and meet customers’ needs.
- Maintains CRM (Hubspot) with accurate and up-to-date information
- Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations.
- Builds and maintains professional, productive relationships with Operations, Marketing, Accounting, and Customers.
- Monitors sales and service activity and ensures that customer commitments are met.
- Conducts personal visits with clients on a scheduled basis to maintain relationships.
- Develops and maintains excellent relationships with a portfolio of clients; partners with clients to understand their business, products, and transportation needs.
- Creates and leads proposal presentations for potential customers.
- Evaluates potential clients and authorizes agreements with approved clients.
- Evaluates and responds to RFPs/RFQs as appropriate for DFN Inc.
- Researches, analyzes, negotiates, and agrees to fixed-rate contracts appropriate for DFN Freight Exchange Inc. business.
- Accurately and consistently enters and maintains up-to-date information on DFN Inc.’s Transportation Management (TMS) software.
- Promotes DFN business through participation in relevant associations and conventions.
Key Performance Measures:
- Achieves assigned sales quotas.
- Maintains high customer satisfaction levels.
- Meets or exceeds performance on designated KPIs as identified in the Quarterly
- Performance Review Process
Education: Post secondary degree in business, sales, supply chain or operations.
